
Alex Jean, Esq. is a founding partner at Long & Jean, P.A., where he focuses his practice on complex personal injury and civil litigation matters. A Fort Lauderdale native, Mr. Jean attended Cardinal Gibbons High School before earning his Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. He received his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law.
During law school, Mr. Jean served as a Certified Legal Intern with the Broward County Public Defender’s Office, where he gained invaluable litigation and trial experience early in his legal career. Since 2015, he has concentrated his practice on representing individuals in high-stakes civil litigation, aggressively advocating against insurance companies and corporate defendants to secure full and fair financial justice for his clients.
Mr. Jean’s practice includes catastrophic injury cases, trucking and commercial vehicle accidents, and wrongful death claims. He has successfully represented clients in some of the most serious and complex injury matters, including achieving a landmark $96.675 million settlement. His approach combines meticulous case preparation, strategic litigation, and a relentless commitment to protecting the rights of those who have suffered life-altering injuries.
Central to Mr. Jean’s success is his commitment to client communication and relationship-building. He believes that effective advocacy begins with trust, transparency, and accessibility. By maintaining consistent communication and taking the time to understand each client’s unique circumstances, Mr. Jean fosters lasting relationships that extend well beyond the conclusion of a case. Beyond his legal work, Mr. Jean is deeply committed to serving the Fort Lauderdale and South Florida communities. He serves on various boards throughout Fort Lauderdale, contributing his time and leadership to initiatives that support education, mentorship, and community development. Fluent in Creole, he is also actively involved in the Haitian community.
Outside of the office, he enjoys saltwater fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. Mr. Jean resides in Fort Lauderdale with his wife and son.
